The ministries of Antioch Baptist Church share God’s love with our community and beyond.  The diversity of our ministries allows us to connect with His beloved children in all stages of their lives.

Antioch Baptist Church Ministries:

  • Brotherhood Ministry

This ministry promotes fellowship, growth, and service among the men of Antioch through an effective prayer life and evangelism throughout the church and community.

  • Christian Education

To provide learning experiences for persons of all ages that will enable them to grow in their understanding of the Gospel and how it relates to their daily living

  • Culinary Ministry

We are a dedicated group of volunteers who love to serve. The Culinary Ministry is a distinctive ministry with dedicated members to the church, where not only is our name friendship, but we also serve up friendship whether it is a funeral or a conference.  Our style of food preparation leaves you feeling like there is no place like home, like we’ve been expecting you, and that’s the way you feel every time you fellowship with us.

We provide mentoring and learning opportunities for children and young adults to assume the roles of leadership through scripture and discipleship.   Our ministry activities provide ministries that are relevant to our times and situations and create an environment of acceptance, love, and direction in Christian living and develop the young into the likeness of Christ.

  • The Power of Two Marriage Ministry

Our Youth Choir & Youth Ministry

“The Power of Two Marriage Ministry” is first committed to God and is focused on marriage preparation, marriage mentoring, marriage strengthening, and celebration of the marriage covenant. We provide ongoing opportunities to enhance all marriages through Christ-centered practical teachings and social events.

  • Health and Wellness Ministry

Provide the tools and resources to enable our disciples and the community to live healthier, more productive lives with a special focus on the diseases that adversely affect the African American community.  We promote lifestyle changes through the use seminars, workshops, physical fitness classes, screenings, nutritional education sessions, and health fairs and counseling.

  • OPEN ARMS Ministry

Our goal is to leave no one behind, but to include everyone in the family by opening doors and hearts to offer the love of Christ to our guests. We greet guests on Sunday morning and acknowledge visitors during the morning worship celebration.  We also serve as host/hostesses for all church functions and assist with Baptism, weddings and funerals. We ensure that all new disciples receive training to nurture their spiritual growth and integrate them into our congregational life, too.

  • Media Ministry

We effectively spread the Word of God both within and outside of the walls of the church.  We develop and utilize various forms of media to instruct and encourage believers in their worship of God.  Design creative and resourceful publications that will attract newcomers and inform disciples and others by relaying the message relative to every event.

  • Pastoral Care Ministry

The Pastoral Care Ministry strives to establish and maintain a caring, confidential program of providing emotional, spiritual, and physical aid to those in the congregation and community.  They maintain contact through greeting cards and calls to the sick and bereaved families.

  • Senior Saints Ministry

We are mature believers who share the belief that you are never too old to learn and apply God’s work.  We desire to ‘share the good news’, continue to grow in the Lord, share our gifts and challenge others to develop a deeper relationship with the Lord.  We are mission focused which includes visits to the homebound and nursing homes, and preparation of special gifts for the holidays.

  • Shepherd's Flock

This ministry aids in the needs of the First Family, provides encouragement, accompanies the Pastor on speaking engagements, and hosts special projects as requested.

  • Transportation Ministry

To serve members and guests (within a particular radius) at designated service times, by transporting them to and from church related functions. Schedule and provide routine maintenance and care of the church’s vehicles.

  • Women of the Word (WOW)

Promote fellowship, growth and service among the women of Antioch.  Seek to aid women to develop healthy emotional, spiritual relationships with God and each other through education, outreach and fellowship

  • Ushers Ministry

Assist the Pastor and the members of the congregation by maintaining order through the flow of the sanctuary, sitting worshippers, receiving offerings, and distributing materials. We accompany worshippers to the altar and other church facilities and monitor the flow of worshippers during service.
